The goal of the Center is to be the premiere entertainment destination for
both artists and audiences to celebrate the performing arts.
It will stimulate excitement throughout the community and nurture the growth
and enjoyment of the theater experience.
The mission of the Center is simple: to provide a venue that encourages and
supports production companies to create shows of the highest caliber, and to be
a place that audiences will be attracted to and return to for a consummate
evening's entertainment.
In this day of increased production expenses, with audiences making choices
between live performances and various digital media, the pressure on performing
companies to make even the smallest productions look technically polished and
attract a wider population of viewers is intense.
Getting the necessary expertise to accomplish this, with the facilities, tools
and infrastructure required to get the job done -- and doing all of this at a
price that is within reach to both producer and consumer -- is becoming more
challenging.
However, with a properly built and outfitted facility, and with a knowledgeable
staff on-hand to support the technical and back-office needs of putting on a
performance, these goals can be reached.
With the venue outfitted to be accommodating to companies of various sizes and
requirements, and having that facility provide everything these companies need
so they can focus on their craft, artists can be encouraged to present more
performances at a higher quality.
Among the support services and technical theater facilities to be provided are
comprehensive lighting equipment, advanced sound delivery and acoustic design,
special rigging and stage effects capabilities, and the latest video and audio
recording systems.
Support of the management of an event is also offered, from on-line and on-site
ticketing to providing advice and arranging contacts with consultants and
contractors for the production team.
In short, allowing the artist to concentrate on his art.
No theater center has any value if audiences are not inspired to patronize it.
This Center will be a magnificent destination for enjoying the arts. Right from
the entrance to the campus, all focus is on providing the best experience to the
patrons. Inviting approaches, easy access to drop-offs and entrances, even
parking lots that are roomy enough for both vehicles and pedestrians to maneuver
around are all part of the experience. Audiences will be excited before they
even get indoors.
The Center itself will be a pleasure to walk through. Wide spaces and services
are created specifically for patrons to enjoy, inviting them to linger. Grand lobby
spaces, easy ticketing facilities, uncrowded public spaces and elegant private
sections accommodate events from world-class touring concerts to large corporate
functions to intimate receptions. Food services include an upscale restaurant and
lounge, private catering facilities, a casual cabaret and various refreshment stands.
All of these features make the audience feel good before they get to their seats, and
encourage them to continue their night's entertainment long after the show.
For the Center to nurture a desire for the arts, support of education and outreach
programs are among its primary goals. The same services that enable production
companies to hone their art will be available to the community at large. Classrooms
and spaces for seminars and lectures can accommodate business training and academic
instruction. Access to all of the administrative, technical, pre- and post-production
services will be within easy reach of all constituents.
With an engaging facility, state of the art production capabilities, the expertise
to resolve the day-to-day issues that artists face when putting on a live show, and an
appealing entertainment alternative for the consumer, the Center will be both the first
choice of any producer of the performing arts, and the pre-eminent destination of any
theatergoer.
